About Us

Footaroo Foot Solutions encapsulate the perfect harmony between ancient wisdom and modern science. Crafted by a skilled podiatrist with extensive knowledge of foot care and a rich history of serving remote Aboriginal communities, this unique fusion will rejuvenate and revitalise your feet.

I created Footaroo after spending 14+ years working as a podiatrist and educating clients on the importance of moisturising their feet, I needed a solution for a cream that was easily absorbed and didn't create a falls risk or leaving residue on the floor.

Over the past 10 years I have had the privilege of working in remote Aboriginal communities throughout central Australia and have seen the value of varying bush medicine and its effects on foot health which led me to creating a cream incorporating the best of both worlds.

The artwork that inspired Footaroo was produced by Marie Elena Ellis (Amoonguna, NT) and means 'Ingke-mape a kerte ayeye' (A story about the whole foot)

A portion of the sales of Footaroo goes directly to the artist.

THE STORY BEHIND FOOTAROO: FROM RUNNING AROUND THE WORLD TO WORKING IN REMOTE ABORIGINAL COMMUNITIES

As an avid runner of 30 years, I have run in some of the world's most beautiful locations from Iceland to Norway, through to Kenya and Australia. I have competed at National Track and Field Championships for many years, 14 Stawell Gift appearances, competed at the World Mountain Running Championships in Wales and won at the Xterra World Trail Running Championships.

15 years ago, I graduated as a podiatrist, after working privately for 5 years my journey took me to central Australia servicing some of the most remote Aboriginal communities within Australia. 4 years ago, I have moved from Alice Springs to Adelaide continuing my work with First Nations people in urban and remote settings. Over the last 10 years I have gathered traditional knowledge and culture growing as a person and enhancing my practice as a podiatrist.

With the need for foot care entrenched in my recreation as well as my working life, plus the acquired knowledge from working with First Nations people I started designing a foot cream incorporating the best of western medicine with elements of Aboriginal bush medicine and Footaroo was born.
